    A culturally diverse, elegant, gastronomical and stunningly beautiful cycling tour through rolling hills, accompanied by exquisite cuisine, delicious wines and rich history.


    The first part of our Italian Renaissance Road Tour will be spent in beautiful Tuscany. World famous for its white gravel roads and picturesque panoramc views. We will experience the italian traditional way of living, eating, having a great time cycling and making new friendships. We will live the famous La Dolce Vita Life, sipping traditional aperol sprits and walking through narrow cobbled streets of Siena or Pienza.
    We will pedal for three days and spend one day as our free day exploring Siena.


    Our base for the second part of the voyage is beautiful hotel in medieval Spello in Umbria, the only land-locked region and the green heart of Italy.

    During our four days there we will discover Gubbio, Assisi and its basilica and spend a whole day in ancient Perugia without bikes.

    ARRIVAL & GROUP AIRPORT TRANSFER TO MURLO, TUSCANY

    Arrive in Rome in the morning and we will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to the beautiful hotel just outside Murlo in Tuscany. Check in and relax or explore the pool while we get your bike ready.

    Before dinner, over the welcome drink, we will talk about our cycling days ahead.

    MONDAY

    MONTALCINO LOOP

    Today we ride to Montalcino, the territory famous for its microclimate that contribute to unique characteristics of the regional Rosso del Montalcino wine. Our route will vary between tarmac and white gravel roads, expect scenic landscapes and quaint villages along the way. On our way back we stop in vineyard to taste wines and local food specialities. Return back to hotel in the afternoon.

    DAY 3 | TUESDAY

    MAGICAL SIENA

    In the morning we head to northeast from Murlo, passing through beautiful Tuscan countryside. We pedal on roads surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and rolling hills, looking to arrive in time for late morning coffee in Siena, UNESCO World heritage Site known for its medieval structure and famous horse racing events in the main square, Piazza del Campo. We will take some time to explore the city, enjoy a coffee break in one of the numerous street bars before we head back to the hotel.

    DAY 4 | WEDNESDAY

    MAGICAL PIENZA

    Pienza is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is known for its well-preserved Renaissance architecture. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the countryside as you pedal through the region. After we pass charming medieval town of Buonconvento the road starts climbing to valle D‘orcia , followed by another climb to Pienza, where we enjoy our coffee break before heading back.

    DAY 5 | THURSDAY

    NON RIDING DAY, VISIT SIENA
    Day in Siena. Guided 3 hour tour of the city's main attractions and afternoon return to the hotel.

    FRIDAY

    TRANSFER TO SPELLO, UMBRIA
    30km afternoon easy coffee ride to Assisi and visit its magnificent Basilica.

    DAY 7 | SATURDAY

    UMBRIA GREENWAY

    A beautiful ride through the Umbrian countryside, its famous towns and olive trees lined roads. Today on our bikes we will visit Montefalco, famous for its wines and breathtaking views. Next stop is the medieval town of Bevagna, where we will make a coffee stop in one of its charming cobbled street bar. We will then face a quiet and secluded uphill road surrounded by olive tree gardens towards Assisi, where we make a stop to visit its world famous basilica of Saint Fransis, one of the most important places of Christian pilgrimage in Italy. In the afternoon we will roll our sleeves up and make some pasta, this time guided by Italian master chef. Ravioli or tagliatelle anyone?

    SUNDAY

    RIDE GUBBIO

    Your itinerary through the Umbrian countryside continues to the medieval pearl of Gubbio and the return trip over Monte Subasio towards Assisi.

    We will pass through small villages before starting the ascent that will take us to beautiful Gubbio.

    Its historic centre is a fascinating labyrinth of medieval streets, picturesque squares and historical monuments that transport visitors back through the century's of its history. We will have lunch in one of the local bars before our return. It will be an exciting day, full of cultural experience.

    PERUGIA

    Cultural visit of the city and free time to discover the city's narrow ancient streets for yourselves.

    ASSISI-PETTINO-RASIGLIA

    Your last ride through the green heart of Italy, with stops in Pettino and Rasiglia, promises to be a fascinating adventure. We will stop in Pettino to explore this small village. We will admire the stone houses, narrow streets and quiet atmosphere that characterises this timeless place. Our ride continues towards Rasiglia. The road passes through olive groves, vineyards and hills, offering enchanting views.

     

    Rasiglia is a charming village known for its water mills and streams flowing through the streets. Explore the village and enjoy the authentic atmosphere. Quiet and evocative environment, ideal for relaxing and reflecting on your cycling adventure.
