• TRAVEL AND TRANSFERS
Our tours are guaranteed to run once we achieve the minimum number of participants and on average our groups are between 6 and 12 guests.

Italy Cycling Tours reserves the right to cancel any trip with zero guests, therefore you must only book your airfare after your tour is confirmed. We will not accept any responsibility for travel arrangements made prior to confirming your tour booking.

For small groups of 2 to 4 person it is possible to run a tour with a supplement fee, please refer to our Make it Your Own page.

On some tours we provide complimentary transfers from and to our recommended arrival and departure airports. Depending on your flights times, one-time pick-up transfers can be arranged between the hours of 12.00 and 16.00. One-time drop-off from 8.00 and 10.00. If you decide to use our transfer service but your flight times are outside of the designated hours you may choose to arrive/depart on other dates. Please note pre and post tour accommodation is not included in the tour cost. Alternatively, we will be happy to talk you through our “How to Get There” Tips and Advice.

    PAYMENT NOTES

After your booking is confirmed, you will be required to pay an initial deposit of 30% of the total tour cost. The remaining balance is due no less than 60 days before your tour start date. For full details on our payment terms please refer to our General Policies page.

    BIKE NOTES
Whether you will bring your own bike or use our bike hire service you need to tell us at the time of booking. This is important because if you bring your own bike we will need to secure a place in our minivan, please note that those spaces are limited.

If you decide to hire a bike from us, we will deliver it to the start of your tour. We recommend that your personal belongings (including your own bike or rental bike) are insured up to the appropriate value as we can accept no responsibility for loss or damage to your personal or rented belongings.

  • ACCOMMODATION

We carefully select our hotels and where possible you will be staying in one of the 3*-4* certified Italy Bike Hotels that specialize in cycling tourism.

If due to the tour location it is not possible to book one of the specialized hotels we will choose a different hotel that will provide a comparable level of service for our guests.

Food is an important part of your holiday and without doubt a huge part of the Italian lifestyle. The hotels we choose are known for their excellent food. However, if you choose to not partake in the included meal in the hotel on some days, our guides have an extensive knowledge of regional specialties and will be happy to recommend the best local places to eat and explore.

You will need to notify us of any dietary requirements you may have when you book your tour. We are able to accommodate vegetarian and gluten free participants. However, we need to know in advance.

    GUIDED RIDES AND FITNESS

We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding service and support to ensure you will have some of the best rides of your life with us. All our rides are fully guided with a minimum of two guides, one cycling with you and one driving behind in the support vehicle.

In our minivan we will have snacks, fruits (bananas) and water to fuel your activity. However, we also encourage you to carry your own preferred source of energy (gels, bars, powders) while riding or hiking.

We reserve the right to adjust the tour itinerary due to circumstances beyond our control. E.g. Adverse weather, road closures, group safety. Any changes we make will be for the benefit of the whole tour group and based on our experience and judgement.

Cycling is a physical activity and as such a certain level of fitness is required. Please refer to our Difficulty page to help you choose the correct tour for your cycling ability. Please note you are required to notify us of any medical condition. You will be required to sign a medical disclaimer form prior to your tour start date.
